Hello My Name Is...

I have lived in Murfreesboro and taught in Murfreesboro City Schools for twelve years.  I taught in Georgia before moving to Murfreesboro.  Though originally from Georgia, I love middle Tennessee!  Mitchell-Neilson Schools hold a very special place in my heart!

Over the years I have taught Pre K students, 1st-4th grade students, and adult students.  Since earning my Master's Degree (2006) in Reading, I have been a Reading Coach and an Interventionist. My mom says I have been a "teacher" since I was a young girl.  I have a genuine love for learning and I truly enjoy working with learners of all ages.

In my free time I like to garden, sew, cook, and read.  My husband and I enjoy fishing, golfing, and traveling.  We have two grown children, a border collie, and a precocious tabby cat.
